NIGERIAN POLITICAL STRUCTURES HAVE NO IDEOLOGICAL COMMITMENT - BISHOP KUKAH

We’ve Really Not Had Political Structures With Ideological Commitment – Kukah

The Catholic clergy who had been a lasting public speaker and social activist had remarked in a press hearing that there had never been any political structure in the Nigerian political sphere.
The Archbishop, who had participated in many of the political conferences held by the past Nigeria leaders, expresses his dissatisfaction over the unsteady and unpredictable political health of the country.

In one of his speeches “Nigeria Gangrene” Kukah remarked that he had been opportune to have a hand shake with the presidents of Nigeria from the days of the Late President Alhaji Shehu Shagari; expressing that Nigerians should not expect to get to the Promised Land with President Muhamadu Buhari.

He, of course, had never showed interest of supporting any aspirant, but his close relationship which Peter Obi has been obviously ostensible. And, observing his central role in the political involvement of the largest Christian organization (Catholic Church) in the Northern Nigeria, it is beyond doubt should one suggest that he had been behind the selection of Obi as Atiku’s running mate for the 2019 presidential election.

Today, the Archbishop of Sokoto, Kukah has said his mind as an observer, “We’ve Really Not Had Political Structures with Ideological Commitment”. This is very true.
