The Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara has reacted to the death of Former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Sabundu Badeh.

Reacting to the sad news, Dogara took to his official Twitter page condemning Badeh’s death.

The Speaker called for those responsible to be brought to book, even as he described Badeh’s death as alarming.

“News of the gruesome murder of the former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, is both saddening and alarming.

“My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones, and I hope that those responsible are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice,” he wrote.
The former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, was murdered on 18 Dec. 18, from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road.

                  INTRODUCTION In the history of syntax, prepositions alongside other parts of speech are considered as one of the esteemed contributions of the sophists (the itinerant teachers) to the development of the human language. Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included. As a plural term, “syndesmoi” is a collective noun that stands for the group while, conjunction , the part of speech that binds together the discourse and finds gaps in its interpretation was called “syndesmos” (see Robins, 1968).
