To be crowned a mayor, one has to be found worthy in character, representing the Igbo race in the exhibition of features that characterized Ndigbo. Addition to these, he must be one who is well to do; not the richest, but respectfully rich such that he could give assistance when necessary. He must not show kindness because of his ambition. He must have been found possessing kindness as a character before he could be selected for such an honour.
