The  IMEC  project would provide a stable trade route that bypasses the  Strait of Hormuz , creating an alternative for global trade and energy transmission. Huckabee also stated that he saw no significant evidence that there was any "peaceful part" of the Iranian regime. "What the Iranians are saying and doing is nothing that they haven't been doing for 47 years," Huckabee explained. "This is a longstanding 'death to America' chant they've had. They really haven't changed."

IRGC announces closure of Strait of Hormuz, US strikes Iran in retaliation

The Iranian regime announced that the Strait of Hormuz would be closed again until further notice after striking a vessel attempting to move through an unapproved route on Saturday night. In response, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it was conducting a round of strikes against Iranian targets. "Iran was provided yet another opportunity to demonstrate adherence to the Memorandum of Understanding after being held accountable for earlier attacks on commercial vessels but has again failed," CENTCOM stated in a post on X/Twitter.

Secondary explosions were identified by the IDF, confirming the presence of the weapons. 

Oman seeks dual-route Strait of Hormuz deal as Trump demands Iran admit ship attacks

(photo credit: REUTERS/STRINGER/FILE PHOTO) Oman has proposed managing traffic through the  Strait of Hormuz  through two separately controlled routes, CNN reported on Saturday, citing a source with knowledge about the talks.  The agreement, which is yet to be finalized, would keep both the northern and southern corridors of the strait open. Notably, Iran and Oman are reportedly discussing a potential statement on opening a “median lane” in the Strait of Hormuz for free and full movement, Axios reported.
