MINISTERIAL SCREENING: Akpabio, Akume, 5 others escape questions

The Nigerian Senate has said that seven ministerial nominees would not be subjected to questioning, but asked to ‘take a bow’ at the ongoing screening of the 43 nominees for President Muhammadu Buhari’s next level cabinet.
Six of the minister-nominees are former senators, while one of them is a serving member of the House of Representatives.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan said the decision was in line with the long standing tradition of the Senate that all former lawmakers nominated for appointments are given automatic endorsement.
The former senators are Godswill Akpabio, Gbemisola Saraki, Hadi Sirika, George Akume, Olorunnimbe Mamora, Chris Ngige and Tayo Alasoadura, and Emeka Nwajuiba, a serving Reps member.
Akume and Akpabio had already enjoyed the ‘take a bow’ privilege as they had been screened as at when this report was filed.

Tulsi Gabbard on Tuesday said she doesn't support the move because it would be "terribly divisive" for an "already very divided" United States. "Look, my position remains the same.                   INTRODUCTION In the history of syntax, prepositions alongside other parts of speech are considered as one of the esteemed contributions of the sophists (the itinerant teachers) to the development of the human language. Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included. As a plural term, “syndesmoi” is a collective noun that stands for the group while, conjunction , the part of speech that binds together the discourse and finds gaps in its interpretation was called “syndesmos” (see Robins, 1968).
