Liverpool told to thwart Real Madrid transfer plans and battle for star playmaker

Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen has been told stay in the Premier League this summer - but leave London for Liverpool.
Real Madrid has been the team mentioned most often when it comes to where Eriksen might end up but Liverpool have joined that list.
Eriksen has already admitted he is seeking a 'new challenge' and those comments point to the likeliness of an exit from the capital.
Whilst Real have continued to be linked with a move for the Denmark international, former Liverpool player Dean Saunders has urged the midfielder to consider a move to Anfield.
The Spanish giants have overhauled their squad this summer under manager Zinedine Zidane by signing the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have decided to opt against paying over the odds but Saunders feels that Eriksen would be a 'perfect bid'.
"They (Liverpool) could spend it maybe... I think Eriksen could slot into Liverpool’s team,” Saunders told talkSPORT when asked about where Eriksen should go.
That type of player who will make their midfield a bit more productive."
