Border Police arrests a wanted terrorist during an operation in the West Bank city of Nablus on July 15, 2026. (CREDIT: ISRAEL POLICE SPOKESPERSON'S UNIT) Border Police officers, at the direction of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), arrested a wanted man suspected of involvement in terrorist activity during an undercover raid in the West Bank city of Nablus on Wednesday. According to a statement released by Israel Police, undercover officers covertly traveled to a building in which the suspect was hiding before switching over to an overt operation in which officers called for the wanted man to surrender himself. The man cooperated with officers, surrendered himself, and was later arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation.

Iran strikes US military in Jordan with drone attack - report

US military positions at Jordan's Azraq base were hit by an Iranian drone attack on Wednesday, Iranian media reported. According to the reports, Iran's military claimed drone operations against US bases in the region would continue until "final victory."

US issues general license for wind-down activities in Hormuz as new Iran sanctions imposed

The Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control ( OFAC ) simultaneously issued new sanctions against individuals, ships, and groups involved with Iran, the statement read. According to the license, wind-down operations are permitted until September 12, and any payments made under the license must be made via specific protocols within the US.

Later on Wednesday, Kuwait's KUNA State News Agency reported that the blaze had been brought under control. The report noted that six teams, backed by the army and National Guard, responded to the strike, with no injuries reported and damage limited to material losses.

"We're going to hit them very hard tonight. We're going to hit them very hard tomorrow night. We're going to hit them very hard the night after," said Trump. "Will save energy targets for last. Next week it gets really bad for them."  Trump added that he "doesn't like the idea" of charging a fee in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that Iran prefers to "spend a lot of money in the United States."
