US reinstates Hormuz blockade as over 20 naval ships, 'hundreds' of aircraft operate in region
The United States reinstated its blockade against Iran in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on X/Twitter.
CENTCOM added that over 20 US Navy ships and "hundreds of military aircraft" are operating across the Middle East.
U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas today at 4 p.m. ET.
