I felt Ashamed of myself After Visiting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

Lagos Monarch Says Nnamdi Kanu Rejected Alleged ₦500 Billion Government Offer in DSS Custody

A traditional ruler in Lagos State has disclosed that he once visited the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),

Nnamdi Kanu, during his detention at the Department of State Services (DSS) facility in Abuja.

According to the monarch, the visit was aimed at persuading Kanu to accept an alleged ₦500 billion offer from the Federal Government as a way to end the Biafra agitation.

The ruler said Kanu firmly refused the proposal.

“He looked me in the eye and told me plainly: it’s Biafra or death,” the Oba said. “I left that day feeling ashamed and powerless.”

The claim has sparked renewed debate over the resolve of the IPOB leader and the federal government’s approach to resolving the Biafra issue.
