Charlie Kirk dead at 31 after shooting at Utah Valley University


The 31 years old Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, had been hosting an event at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah.

According to bystanders at the event and a Turning Point USA representative, Kirk was shot “near the neck” during one of his long-form Q&A sections. However, other reports have stated that he was shot “in the neck.”

The 31-year-old co-founder and CEO of Turning Point USA is famous for his back-and-forth political discussions with college students across the nation.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has died after being shot at the event this afternoon at Utah Valley University.

President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk's death in a post on Truth Social.

"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie," Trump wrote. "He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"

We gathered that the shooter is now in custody.
