Mediators push to extend US-Iran ceasefire, though both sides deny reports

Mediators of the US-Iran peace talks are working to extend the two-week temporary ceasefire, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday. 

According to the AP report, mediators are getting close to securing an extension.

Both US and Iranian officials have denied reports of the ceasefire extension; one senior American official told Reuters that the US has not formally agreed to any extensions.
